LOCATION: Ambarli port is located on the North shores of the sea of Marmara. Ambarli Port Complex is located 34 km. away from Istanbul and is very close to TEM and E-5 highways. The port is divided into 2 region. Region No.1 Ambarli New Port, located to the west of the oil terminals, consisting of privately owned dry, bulk anf container terminals. Region No.2 consists of the oil platforms, jetties and mooring buoys.

ALTAŞ Ambarlı Port Facilities Trade Co. Inc., is the general management, joint-service and coordination company of Port of Ambarlı which has responsibilities on general management, infrastructure, planning, geologic studies, security and environmental arrangements of areas used collectively by 7 different terminals operating in Port of Ambarlı that is located in the European Side of Marmara Region.

a) Lat.40 59′ 15″ N , Long. 28 32′ 30″ E

b) Lat.40 57′ 12″ N , Long. 28 32′ 30″ E
c) Lat.40 58′ 20″ N , Long. 28 43′ 30″ E

d) Lat.40 54′ 32″ N , Long. 28 43′ 37″ E.

RESTRICTIONS: Tankers are restricted to daylight berthing only. All other vessels berth thought 24 hours.

ANCHORAGE AREAS: The anchorage is located to the West of the ports holding ground good.  (Information on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station)

A- Anchorage area for dangerous cargo vessels;
     40ø 57′.25N, 28ø 35′.30E, 40ø 56′.25N, 28ø 35 ’30E,

B- Anchorage area for ro-ro and general cargo vessels

PILOTAGE: is compulsory for berthing and unberthing and anchoring, Call ARPAS Pilot on VHF channels 12, 16 two hours before arrival at Ambarli.Pilots boarding point is located in position 40° 56′.60 N – 028° 40′.65 E

TOWAGE: and/or mooring boat compulsory arranged by pilot and and provided by the ARPAS. There are 3 modern and powerful tug-Boats (ARPAS I-II, Kaptan H Alpaslan ) of over 30 ton pull-power, 22 meters long and with 2100 BHP and twin propellers; a fast pilot boat (Arpas VI) with 2×300 BHP and twin propellers; and two mooring boats (Arpas III-IV).

PILOT LADDER: will be prepared on vessel’s starboard side. If your vessel’s freeboard exceeds more than 5 meters, please prepare a combination ladder.

AIRPORT: At Istanbul distance apprx. 14 km from the port.

DEVELOPMENTS: There is a breakwater under construction to the West of the general cargo port

    ARPAS,
    which has been providing Pilotage and Tug-Boat services within
    the boundaries of the Ambarlı Port since 24.09.1998 with the permit issued
    by Maritime Undersecreteriat, gives 24 hours non-stop anchoring, berthing,
    unberthing services to mooring buoys and oil platform, berths for ships of
    all types and tonnages with its specialized stuff and twelve pilots
